Back up your collection
Open Settings and choose Create Backup. Keep the resulting .recipechest file somewhere safe, then restore it from Settings when needed.
Photos and permissions
Camera and photo-library access are optional. TasteKeep asks only after you choose to add a photo to a recipe or cooking step.
Report a problem

Summary
TasteKeep is designed to keep your recipe collection private. The current version requires no account, includes no advertising or third-party analytics, and does not send your recipes to the developer.
Data stored on your device
Recipes, ingredients, cooking steps, notes, tags, favorites, settings, and copied images are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app may remove this local data.
Camera and photo library
Access is requested only after you choose to add a photo. Selected images are copied into the app’s private local storage and are not uploaded by TasteKeep.
Backups, exports, and sharing
TasteKeep creates or shares a recipe or backup file only after your explicit action. Apple’s system share sheet and the destination you choose may process that file under their own privacy terms.
Data collection
TasteKeep does not collect, track, sell, or transmit personal data to the developer. It does not use an advertising identifier, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or cloud synchronization service in this version.
Children’s privacy
TasteKeep does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users because it does not operate a developer-controlled data collection service.
Changes to this policy
If a future version introduces analytics, cloud sync, payments, accounts, or another external service, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that version is released.
